Community Manager

Our Community Managers wear many hats. From project management, insurance, accounting, finance, and facilities maintenance to governance, vendor management, and customer service, you’ll do a little bit of everything in this job. Your board of directors will look to you for guidance and oversight on every aspect of their communities. In this job, you will build relationships with your boards and owners, as well as work cooperatively with every other department in the organization.

Requirements

  • Proven proficiency in learning new technology
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • Proven capability to review and analyze financial reports
  • Familiar with insurance in regard to HOAs
  • Grasp of contractual bidding processes
  • Knowledge of proper meeting order
  • Familiar with architectural request process
  • Ability to create and maintain a proper working budget

Benefits and Salary

The position is full time and salary is competitive and commensurate with experience. The W&K compensation package includes a base salary and bonus opportunities. Medical, dental and vision plans are available, as well as 401(k), life insurance and relocation assistance where applicable.

As a W&K Community Manager, you will be responsible for managing a portfolio of homeowner’s associations, building relationships with your boards of directors, and working to provide them with the trusted guidance they deserve. Our managers are supported internally by teams of specialists dedicated to assisting in the service of our communities and clients.

What You'll Do Here

  • Maintain an open line of communication with boards of directors and homeowners
  • Prepare and present budgets to your boards
  • Analyze monthly financial reports and create variance reports for your boards
  • Create monthly management reports
  • Contact and coordinate with vendors for community maintenance projects
  • Oversee daily operations of your portfolio of communities
  • Regularly attend board meetings as well as internal team meetings
  • Supervising administrative and maintenance staff when applicable

Preferred Education, Licensing, and Experience

  • 1-2 years in the HOA management field (strongly preferred)
  • Licensing: CMCA or willingness and ability to obtain)
  • Associate degree or higher (strongly preferred)
